The fox and the jackal were two evil friends. They both had enmity with a cunning rabbit. Rabbit was liked by all animals, so they did not like the rabbit. One day they planned to catch the rabbit.

The fox said that the rabbit is very clever, he will not fall into our trap. The jackal said – “I have a very good plan. A few days ago I saw some people catching animals with a net. We will also catch the rabbit with the same net.

The fox asked – do you think this idea will work? The jackal said – this idea will definitely work because once I was caught in the web. The fox asked in surprise, then how did you get out? The jackal said, actually he had come to catch the lion, but by mistake, I got caught in that trap. That’s why he himself threw me out of that trap. I think those people were scared of me. The fox stopped laughing and said yes, maybe it must have happened.

बारासिंघा की चालाकी | Hindi story for kids |

एक जंगल था जिसमे में एक बारहसिंघा रहता था | उसका नाम था हीरक | वह भोजन की तलाश में इधर उधर भटक रहा था |तभी उसे एक ऐसा पेड़ दिखाई दिया , जिस पर बहुत मीठे फल लगे थे | उसने पेड़ से पके फल गिरने का इंतज़ार किया और गिरने पर उन्हें बड़े स्वाद से खाया | फिर वह हर रोज़ वहां फल खाने आने लगा | उस पेड़ पर लगने वाले फलों का स्वाद सबसे अलग था |

एक शिकारी ने देखा कि एक हिरन पेड़ से गिरे फल खाने रोज़ आता है | उसने वहीँ रस्सी का एक फंदा बनाया और उसे पेड़ से लटका दिया | उसने सोचा कि जेसे ही बारहसिंघा फल खाने आयगा , उसका पैर रस्सी में फंसेगा और वह उसे कास देगा | वह उस दिन पेड़ पर छिपकर बारहसिंघा का इंतज़ार करने लगा |

बारहसिंघा अपने मनपसंद फल खाने आया | उसने आसपास देखा, हवा को सुंघा और जांचा – परखा | उसे रस्सी और शिकारी तो नहीं दिखे पर वह पेड़ के नीचे गिरे फलों को देख क्र हैरान था | वहां बहुत से फल गिरे हुए थे लेकिन अभी तक किसी ने भी उन्हें खाया नहीं था | वहां कोई पक्षी या गिलहरी भी नहीं दिखाई दे रहे थे | यह हैरानी की बात थी , क्योंकि जब किसी पेड़ से फल गिरते हैं , तो उन्हें खाने के लिए बहुत से जीव आसपास आ जाते हैं , लेकिन यहाँ तो सारे फल ज्यों के त्यों गिरे हुए दिखाई दे रहे थे |

उसने सोचा कि हो न हो ‘यहाँ दाल में कुछ काला है |’

हीरक वहीँ खड़ा हो कर इंतज़ार करने लगा | तभी पेड़ से एक फल टूट कर उसकी और आ गया | असल में पेड़ पर बैठे शिकारी का धीरज टूट रहा था | उसने तय किया कि वह फल दिखाकर बारहसिंघा को ललचाएगा ताकि बारहसिंघा आगे आये और पकड़ा जाए | लेकिन बारहसिंघा भी कुछ कम चालाक नहीं था | वह जानता था कि पेड़ अपने फलों को यहाँ – वहां नहीं उछालते | फल तो सीधा ज़मीन पर ही गिरते हैं | वह जान गया कि हो ना हो उस पेड़ के आसपास ही कहीं कोई शिकारी जाल बिछाए बैठा है |

हीरक ने बड़ी सावधानी से पेड़ के आसपास देखा , उसे शाखाओं में छिपा शिकारी दिखाई दे गया | ‘अब समझ आया कि वह फल उछल कर मेरे पास क्यों आया था ?’ उसने सोचा |

हीरक भी मस्ती के मूड में आ गया | वह उस शिकारी को छकाने लगा | हीरक शिकारी को सबक सिखाना चाहता था कि इन्सान ही समझदार होते है बल्कि जानवर भी बहुत चालाक है | असल में , कोई भी शिकार बनता ही तब है, जब वह असावधान रहता है , अपनी बुद्धि का प्रयोग नहीं करता | हीरक इस तरह दिखावा करने लगा मानो पेड़ से बातें कर रहा हो | उसने कहा , ”प्यारे पेड़! तुमने मेरी और फल उछाल दिया |तुम सच में कितने दयालु हो|| परन्तु मैं जनता हु की फल तो सीधा धरती पर गिरते हैं |तुमने अपनी आदतें बदल ली हैं इसलिए मुझे लग रहा है की मुझे भी अपनी आदतें बदल लेनी चाहिए| मैं किसी और पेड को ढूंढ लूँगा| अलविदा!” इतना कह कर हीरक वहां से जाने लगा|

यह सुन कर शिकारी को इतना गुस्सा आया की वह चिल्ला कर बोला ,”मैं तुम्हे एक दिन पकड़ लूँगा |देखता हूँ ,तुम कितने चतुर हो| मेरे पास भी तुम जैसे जानवरों को पकड़कर मारने के सौ उपाय हैं| एक उपाय कामयाब नहीं हुआ तो इसका मतलब यह नहीं है ली मैं तुम्हे पकड़ नहीं सकता | में तुमसे लाख गुना चतुर हूँ |”

हीरक वापस जाते जाते हंसा और बोला ,”मैंने तेरी चतुराई देख ली |लगता है की मासूम जानवरों को मार कर ही अपने आप को तू चतुर कह सकता है| एक साथ मिल जुलकर रहने के लिए अधिक बुद्धिमानी की आवशयकता होती है|दोस्त, अभी तुम इंसानों के लिए यह सीखना बाकी है!”इतना कह कर हीरक झट से घने वन में ओझल हो गया और बेचारा शिकारी हाथ ही मलता रह गया |हीरक ने उसे बता दिया था की मनुष्य ही नहीं ,पशु पक्षी भी अक्लमंद होते हैं |
