The New England Patriots make a significant quarterback choice.

It appears that Brian Hoyer will start the New England Patriots' Sunday afternoon game against the Green Bay Packers in place of regular starter Mac Jones.

Jones will miss the game on Saturday due to an ankle injury, and Hoyer will start in Jones' place, according to NFL reporter Albert Breer of The MMQB.

Mac Jones will not play for the Patriots on Sunday at Lambeau Field due to an ankle injury. New England's Brian Hoyer will get the start, according to Breer's Tweet.

In the team's 37-26 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Jones sustained an ankle injury.

It was stated earlier this week that Jones would miss "several games" due to a "severe high ankle sprain."

During his 13-year NFL career, Hoyer had 75 total appearances while starting 39 games.

Although he has a 0-1 record as a starter for the Patriots, he has a 16-23 record overall.
