The Cowboys reveal the day of Dak Prescott's homecoming.

Since Dak Prescott suffered a thumb injury in the Dallas Cowboys' season-opening defeat to Tampa Bay, there has been talk that he will be back in a month.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, at least expressed that hope.

According to Ian Rapoport, it seems that Prescott's return might not happen as soon as Jones had planned.

Rappoport stated on Sunday. Guys, just understand that the bone needs to mend and that the Cowboys won't jeopardise the safety of their starting quarterback.

According to Rapoport, Prescott won't make a return until October 16.

That comes as a surprise to many Cowboys supporters because Jones was essentially sure that Prescott will return in early October.

Rush performed admirably enough that Prescott might have had more time to recover than many had anticipated.

The Cowboys ought to be alright if Rush and the defence can keep the vehicle in the road until Prescott returns.

But because October 16 is still a ways off, anything might happen in the interim.
