NFL Receiving Criticism For Thursday's Declaration.

The NFL unveiled a tweaked logo to honor Hispanic Heritage Month.

On Thursday, the league unveiled a brand-new shield that they claimed had a "unmistakable Latin flavour" and was "packed with an exuberant personality."

The N in NFL was marked with a tilde.

In partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and the Hispanic Alliance for career improvement,

the league is honored to honor NFL players, coaches, and staff during Latino Heritage Month.

Twitter users chastised the league for what they saw as an ineffective and patronizing outreach effort.

When an effort to celebrate a culture ends up looking like a scene from The Office, it's usually not the best sign.

Many compared the NFL's attempts to Ryan Howard's creation of "Mexican Lemonade," which he made by adding an accent mark.
