For Day 1 of the Presidents Cup, these are the pairings.

The first match up on Thursday pits Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama against Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay.

Both captains selected their foursomes groupings immediately.

Contrary to the Ryder Cup, captains can match their picks based on the pairings of the opposing captain, which occasionally necessitates difficult choices.

The team of Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay, two strong Americans who competed in the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup in the past, was the U.S. captain Love's response.

The first match goes off at 1:05 p.m. ET. 1:05 p.m. Adam Scott-Hideki Matsuyama (Int) vs. Xander Schauffele-Patrick Cantlay (U.S.)

1:17 p.m. Sungjae Im-Corey Connors (Int) vs. Jordan Spieth-Justin Thomas (U.S.) 1:29 p.m. Tom Kim-K.H. Lee (Int) vs. Collin Morikawa-Cameron Young (U.S.)

According to Presidents Cup rules, each player is required to participate in at least one session before Sunday. The winner needs to obtain 15 and a half of the 30 points at stake.

There are 12 new players on the international team. The Americans are 11-1-1 in front of the opposition, with their lone loss occurring in 1998.
